ABOUT US
Ramsey Community Emergency Response Team a NJ Non-profit Corporation (CERT) provides free training to anyone interested. The training is about 20 hours spread throughout a 2 month course which you can enroll in via this link, ramseycert.org/training. During the training you learn; basic first aid, basic rescue, and fire suppression. This training course is important following a natural disaster so you can help yourself, your family, your neighbors, and your community.

Ramsey CERT Coordinator Matthew Zweighaft, NJCEM is a 10+ year member of Ramsey OEM, starting at the age of 14 years old. During his time, he has held various roles and leadership positions. In 2015, the Ramsey CERT program was taken over by Mr. Zweighaft and revamped. In addition, the Ramsey CERT Nonprofit 501c3 was formed at the same time, where Mr. Zweighaft serves as the President.

Mr. Zweighaft graduated Monmouth University with a Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security and a Graduate Certificate in Administrative Science from FDU. In 2021 he obtained his NJ Certified Emergency Manager certificate.

He also is an AHA CPR instructor and NJ EMT. He hopes to spread preparedness information, training to the community, and wants YOU to JOIN OUR TEAM!
